Eirik came home from school so excited today. Tomorrow is the 4th grade overnight field trip. He loves camping, loves packing gear, loves adventure and this one includes a campfire and all his friends. In addition, they will be doing a barn dance called the Virginia Reel (a square dance) where he will dance with girls! His extra time grooming tonight, including the dreaded clipping of his nails, clues me in that it's a pretty big deal. He was excited to show me all the moves to the dance today and practice with me in the back alley after school. I love to square dance. He's got my number.
